QUOTES
"He is creative beyond belief and understands the urgency of deadlines like no one I have ever worked with." -Bob Babbitt, Editor/Publisher, Competitor Publishing.
"Robert is one of only a handful of sports shooters that I have continued to rely on for years, and I have done so for a few simple reasons: His work is gorgeous, he continually strives to create original and dynamic images, he meets deadlines, he's cool under pressure, and he's entirely likeable." - Christina Gandolfo, Editor in Chief, HerSports Magazine
ABOUT ROBERT OLIVER
In 1990, Robert Oliver walked into the office of a small town newspaper in Atascadero, CA and asked the editor for a chance to shoot some photos for his newspaper. The editor gave the young photographer an assignment to cover the donation of a new heart defibrillator to the local fire department. Less than 24 hours later, Robert had a full time job at the newspaper and the chance to turn his passion into a career.
More than 15 years later, Robert is still passionate about making images. His passion has taken him around the world, covering magazine assignments in Asia, Australia, South America, North America and Europe. His photos have been used for marketing by companies like Nike, Reebok, Oakley, Cannondale, Schwinn, Easton, Speedo, Kestrel, Saucony, Powerbar, TYR, Trek, ClifBar, Bolle, Patagonia, AquaSphere (US Divers), San Diego Gulls (ECHL Hockey) along with many others.
Editorial clients include Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Shape, Men's Health, AAA Westways, American Airlines Magazine, GQ Britain, Runner's World, Outside, HerSports, Competitor, Triathlete, Sports Illustrated for Women, Women's Sports and Fitness, Adventure Magazine, Hockey News, Baseball America and Sports Illustrated for Kids.
A native of central California, Oliver now resides in Oceanside, CA with his wife Krista and two children.
